“Leather & Lace”

For my third painting of Playmate Barbara Moore, I decided to go back to my beginnings. Straight ahead Glamour art, almost portraiture. And the idiotic desire to paint lace again. I did one painting with lace years ago and swore that I wouldn’t do it again. But I have this need to paint material, an exercise of sorts. Trying to capture the look of different materials without the benefit of mixed medium has always posed an interesting challenge to me. And Barbara looks so damn good in it. Toss in a nice sexy twist to the body, a straight ahead gaze in the eyes and the kind of thrown back shoulders that projects attitude. And what you end up with is anything but portraiture. We’ll save that kind of art for pictures of dead corporate presidents whose paintings hang in boardrooms scaring the crap out of everybody that works there. Think how much better your work environment would be if “Leather and Lace’” was hanging on the wall at the annual stockholders meeting instead of paintings of a bunch of guys that look like George Washington or Wilford Brimley.

Besides the endless modeling assignments, Barbara is quickly climbing the ranks in the Ballroom Dancing competitions. She is currently the Top International Style Female Dancer in the West Coast Region, and has been accepted to compete in a team match at the largest competition in the United States this November.Oh, and did I mention that her website is one of the most popular sites out there right now.
